Buyer's guide
Compare Emcyte PRP systems
Every Emcyte PRP system concentrates platelets from the patient's own blood. They differ in how many devices the workflow uses, the platelet concentration they are built to reach, and the kit volumes available. This page lays the options side by side so you can match a system to how your practice actually runs, then get itemized pricing.
Figures below are manufacturer-reported device specifications, not claims of clinical efficacy of the prepared PRP.
Platelet-rich plasma systems
| System | Workflow | Disposables | Kit volumes | Built for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PurePRP SP | Double spin | One integrated device, single counterbalance | 30 / 60 / 120 cc | Supraphysiologic platelet concentration with fewer transfer steps |
| Pure Two PRP | Double spin | Two disposables, established two-step workflow | 30 / 60 / 120 cc | Comparable platelet counts on a familiar two-device process |
| PurePRP (standard) | Double spin | Two disposables | 30 / 60 / 120 cc | The value tier for practices standardizing on a straightforward PRP prep |
PurePRP SP is manufacturer-reported to deliver up to roughly 9 billion platelets in a 7 mL dose (GS60) with under 1% red blood cells. Concentration in practice depends on the patient draw and protocol.
Three questions that decide the system
Single vs double spin
A single-spin process separates blood in one centrifugation step and is fast to run. A double-spin process adds a second step to further concentrate the platelet fraction. Every Emcyte PRP system above is double-spin; the single-spin option in the line is AbsolutePRP Gold.
Leukocyte-rich vs leukocyte-poor
Some protocols call for a leukocyte-rich preparation, others for leukocyte-poor. The choice is physician-directed by application; ask about the neutrophil handling for the volume you plan to run.
Kit volume by intent
Kits come in 30, 60, and 120 cc. Smaller volumes suit focal, single-site work; larger volumes suit multi-site or higher-volume final preparations. Match the volume to your typical case, not the maximum.
The rest of the point-of-care line
| System | Prepares | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PureBMC SP | Bone marrow concentrate | One integrated concentrating device, single counterbalance |
| Pure Two BMC | Bone marrow concentrate | Two-device kit on an established two-step workflow |
| Progenikine | Adipose concentrate | Closed, single-device; prepares in under 5 minutes |
| CORE / A2M | Alpha-2-macroglobulin concentrate | Investigational-use ultrafiltration component; runs from PurePRP plasma |
| SuperShot | Extracellular-vesicle add-on | One-minute add-on spin; autologous, same regulatory class as standard PRP |
One centrifuge runs all of it
The Sapphire Series is a single programmable centrifuge that runs PRP, bone marrow, and adipose presets from a touchscreen, in a 31 lb portable footprint. You do not buy a separate machine per biologic. Loaner and trade-in programs are available.
