Bone marrow concentrate system

PureBMC SP

Emcyte's supraphysiologic bone marrow concentrate system, built around a single integrated concentrating device. One counterbalance, user-controlled BMC volume, and less cell-to-plastic contact than a two-device workflow. The bone marrow counterpart to PurePRP SP.

What it is

PureBMC SP is Emcyte's bone marrow concentrate (BMC) system: a closed, single-use device that processes bone marrow aspirate into a concentrated cellular fraction at the point of care. It runs on the Sapphire centrifuge and shares the closed-device workflow used across the PurePRP line, so a practice already running Emcyte PRP can add bone marrow concentration on the same platform.

What sets SP apart

PureBMC SP and the two-device Pure Two BMC produce comparable cell recovery. The difference is the disposable. SP concentrates in one integrated device, so you load and counterbalance the centrifuge once. Pure Two BMC uses a separate cell separator and cell concentrator, and counterbalances twice.

The single-device design means the aspirate sees less cell-to-plastic contact across the process, and it is a simpler bench workflow: one setup, one counterbalance, one device to manage. Both are cleared bone-marrow-processing systems and both include an aspiration needle in the kit.

How it works

Bone marrow aspirate, harvested with the included 11GA aspiration needle to minimize dilution, is processed in the single closed SP device. The physician controls the final BMC volume to match the clinical intent. Manufacturer-reported specifications describe a supraphysiologic recovery of the nucleated cell and platelet fraction, prepared in under 10 minutes start to finish. Figures describe the device and its output, not how any prepared concentrate performs in a patient.

Who it is for

Orthopedic, sports medicine, and interventional practices that want a validated, high-recovery bone marrow concentrate system with control over final volume and the simplest single-device workflow. Kit sizes of 30, 60, and 120 mL let you match volume to the procedure.

PureBMC SP vs Pure Two BMC vs AbsoluteBMC

All three are Emcyte bone marrow concentrate kits that run on the same centrifuge and include an aspiration needle. Cell recovery for SP and Pure Two BMC is comparable; the difference is the disposable and the workflow.
