PurePRP SP (SupraPhysiologic) is Emcyte's point-of-care platelet-rich plasma concentrating system: a closed, single-use device that draws whole blood and concentrates it into a high-dose platelet fraction at the chair. It runs on the Sapphire centrifuge and shares the same PRP workflow across the Emcyte line, so a practice can standardize on one protocol.
SP and Pure Two PRP produce comparable platelet counts. The difference is the disposable. SP combines the first and second spin into one integrated disposable, so you load and counterbalance the centrifuge once. Pure Two PRP uses two separate disposables and counterbalances twice.
That single-disposable design means the preparation sees less platelet-to-plastic contact across the process. Platelets can adhere to plastic surfaces, and fewer transfers is one argument that the integrated SP kit preserves a higher platelet recovery percentage. It is also a simpler bench workflow: one setup, one counterbalance, one device to manage.
Blood is processed in a single closed device using Emcyte's Dynamic Chamber, AspiraDome, and BasePlane geometry. A double-spin preparation concentrates the platelet fraction, the physician selects the final volume and a neutrophil-rich or neutrophil-poor output, and a preparation runs start to injectable in under 10 minutes. Manufacturer-reported specifications describe up to roughly 9 billion platelets in a 7 mL dose on the GS60 configuration, with less than 1% red blood cells in the final concentrate. These are device output specifications, not claims about how any prepared PRP performs in a patient.
