Pure Two PRP is Emcyte's two-step point-of-care PRP concentrating kit: a closed, single-use system that draws whole blood and concentrates it into a high-dose platelet fraction at the chair. It runs on the Sapphire centrifuge and produces the same supraphysiologic-class preparation as PurePRP SP.
Pure Two PRP and PurePRP SP deliver comparable platelet counts. The difference is the disposable and the bench workflow. Pure Two PRP uses two separate disposables, one for each spin, so the centrifuge is loaded and counterbalanced twice. SP combines both spins into a single integrated disposable and counterbalances once.
Because Pure Two PRP moves the preparation through two disposables, there is more platelet-to-plastic contact than the integrated SP workflow. Since platelets can adhere to plastic, that is the argument practices weigh when they choose SP for maximum recovery. Pure Two PRP remains a proven, widely used kit, and it is often the right choice for a team already trained and standardized on the two-step protocol.
Blood is processed through two closed disposables on the Sapphire centrifuge. The first spin separates the blood, the second concentrates the platelet fraction, and the physician selects the final volume and a neutrophil-rich or neutrophil-poor output. A preparation runs start to injectable in roughly the same window as SP. Manufacturer-reported specifications for the family describe up to roughly 9 billion platelets in a 7 mL dose (GS60 class), with less than 1% red blood cells in the final concentrate. These are device output specifications, not claims about how any prepared PRP performs in a patient.
