Frequently asked questions

Straight answers on who we are, how pricing and ordering work, what ships, and how we support your practice. If your question is not here, call us or send a note.

What is PRP Direct?
PRP Direct is an authorized distributor of Emcyte point-of-care autologous biologics: PRP, bone marrow, and adipose concentrating systems, along with the centrifuge and disposables that run them. We handle pricing, ordering, training, and reorders directly, so you deal with a U.S. team rather than a portal.
How does pricing work?
Pricing is quoted per practice based on the systems and kit sizes you plan to run and your expected volume, so we do not publish a public price list. Tell us what you are looking at and we send a written quote, typically within one business day. Orders are invoiced through Square, so payment is straightforward and documented.
How do I place an order or a reorder?
New practices start with a quote request so we can confirm the right systems and pricing. Once you approve the quote, we send a Square invoice and schedule the shipment. Returning customers skip the full form: confirm the kit, quantity, and ship-to address, and we get it on the way. Call or email any time to place a reorder.
How does shipping work?
We ship from the United States to your practice and provide a tracking number once the order is on the way. Disposable kits are stocked so most orders move quickly. If you have a timing constraint, tell us up front and we will confirm what is realistic before you order.
What is included in a kit?
Each Emcyte kit is a single-use disposable for one preparation, built as a closed single-device system. Exact contents depend on the system and kit size, for example the 30, 60, or 120 cc PRP options. The centrifuge is a separate, reusable piece of equipment. When we quote, we itemize what each kit includes so there are no surprises.
What is the difference between single and double spin?
This is an educational point, not a claim about results. A single-spin process separates blood in one centrifugation step and is quick to run. A double-spin process adds a second step to further concentrate the platelet fraction. Several Emcyte systems offer a double-spin option and let you select a neutrophil-rich or neutrophil-poor preparation. Which approach fits depends on your clinical intent, and we are happy to talk through the tradeoffs.
Are these devices "FDA approved"?
The Emcyte systems are 510(k)-cleared blood-processing devices. That is a device clearance for preparing autologous blood components. It is not an approval of a therapy, and it is not a clearance of the prepared biologic to treat any specific condition. Any yield or purity figures we share, such as platelet counts or red-blood-cell percentages, are manufacturer-reported device specifications, not efficacy claims. For the CORE ultrafiltration component, note that it is labeled for investigational use.
Do you provide training?
Yes. We provide hands-on, licensed-physician demonstrations of draw, spin, and delivery on the system you will use, and we stay with it until your team can run a preparation on their own. We also help with protocol and technique questions, patient-education materials, and research references. See the Training page for how onboarding works.
Do you offer a centrifuge loaner or trade-in?
Loaner and trade-in options can lower the cost of getting started or of upgrading to the Sapphire platform. Availability depends on your setup and volume, so ask about it when you request a quote and we will tell you what applies to your practice.
What kind of support and turnaround can I expect?
A real person answers pricing, training, and reorder questions, usually within one business day. We are a U.S.-based team on U.S. hours, not an overseas reseller, so when you call, you reach someone who can actually help with your account.
